Nanoscience Institute 4th workshop

Reconnecting, inspiring interactions

Cnr Nano Meeting: advancing frontiers in nanoscience and technology

We are excited to announce the 4th Workshop of the Nanoscience Institute, scheduled for June 5-6, 2025. This marks our fourth in-person gathering since the institute’s foundation in 2010 (previous editions: Matraia (LU), 2010; Modena, 2014; Pisa, 2018) and the first since the pandemic.

Guided by the tagline, “Reconnecting, inspiring interactions” the workshop is an opportunity to celebrate our shared identity and foster innovative partnerships that will drive future breakthroughs.

This event brings together our vibrant community of researchers, academics, collaborators, and staff to explore the latest advancements in nanoscience.

Over two days, we will delve into emerging topics, including quantum materials, advanced TEM microscopy, cutting-edge photonics, nanoscale biosensors, and high-performance computing for materials science. The workshop will also explore the transformative potential of nanotechnology in fields such as energy, healthcare, and sustainability. Participants will engage in stimulating discussions, share insights, and identify opportunities for collaboration to push new results in pure and applied nanosciences.

Dates: June 5th – 6th, 2024.

Venue: Cnr Nano S3 at Physics Building, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Via Giuseppe Campi, 213/a, 41125 Modena, Italy.

We warmly invite you to contribute to this exciting and highly anticipated event, which aims to foster interaction among researchers and encourage discussions on visionary topics of broad and shared interest. Contributions that address forward-looking perspectives, tackle emerging challenges, and highlight opportunities for collaborative initiatives within the European research framework are strongly encouraged.

This conference will serve as a platform to reflect on the future of European initiatives, explore new avenues for participation, and strengthen our role in shaping innovative solutions to key scientific and societal challenges. In particular, the opening sessions will introduce strategic macro-themes, such as upcoming calls for European projects and European Initiatives, and updates on the continuation of the PNRR initiatives.

We look forward to receiving inspiring and stimulating contributions that can spark stimulating discussions and help us collectively envision the future of nanoscience.
