Surfaces and interfaces play a dominant role in controlling the aggregation and properties of inorganic, organic, and biological systems at the micro- and nano-scale. Understanding such phenomena and their applications is thus a key to advancing nanoscience and nanotechnology.
S3 is the CNR-NANO National Research Center devoted to "nanoStructures and bioSystems at Surfaces", and is based on a multidisciplinary approach and close interaction between experimental and theoretical activities.
