We exploit coherent control techniques—such as coherent transport by adiabatic passage (CTAP) and stimulated Raman adiabatic passage (STIRAP)—in quantum architectures where the robustness of these protocols offers key advantages for selected computational tasks [1, 2].
In this context, I will discuss quantum operations for modular computing in ultrastrongly coupled (USC) structures of artificial atoms [3, 4], proposing schemes for ultrafast operations between distinct quantum processing units (QPUs) and a possible experimental design for detecting virtual photons in the ground-state of superconducting USC structures, leveraging coherent amplification achieved by a STIRAP-based protocol [2].
