Cnr Nano is glad to present the IQbits Workshop on the simulation of spin qubits in industrial silicon MOSFETs.
This series of talks introduces to the EU H2020 Future Emerging Technologies (FET) Open project IQubits and provides an overview of the field of spin qubits in Si MOSFETs, including the control/readout circuits for future integrated quantum processors manufactured in commercial FDSOI and FinFET foundry technologies. The seminars will address the main challenges in the physical implementation of the qubits, such as the design, modelling and simulation at all levels: quantum and classical, from the atom to the device and the circuit. The measurement of qubits and control/readout circuits for future integrated quantum processors will also be discussed, as well as the impact of the process manufacturing rules and variations, layout miniaturization, self-heating and crosstalk effects. "In view of the recent experimental breakthroughs and of the potentials of integration with classical electronics, spin qubits in silicon and germanium represent one of the most promising routes to achieve practical quantum computing", says Filippo Troiani, Cnr Nano researcher and organizer of the event. "The workshop also aims to stimulate new ideas and fostering of a larger community of interested scientists".
The conference is organised jointly by the EU Project IQubits, the Cnr Istituto Nanoscienze (Cnr Nano) and the Department of Physics, Informatics and Mathematics of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Following the workshop, on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26, a project meeting will be held restricted to IQubits partners and the advisory board.
