The EDFT Workshop 2024 will discuss extensions of DFT which deal with mixed states; i.e., ensembles. Just to mention some examples, ensemble emerges as we set to investigate open shell states; neutral and charged excitations;  different phases of matter; entanglement in materials; charge and heat transport. This workshop will review the most recent progress in branches of ensemble DFT, standing challenges, and will stimulate cross fertilization and novel developments. The workshop is supported by CCP9 and Psi-k.
