Celebrating #womenatNano
Cnr Nano joins the social media campaign on the occasione of the Int'l Day of Women & Girls in Science, introducing a one of its talented female researcher every week for a whole year. Because every day should be #womenscienceday!
Give a Selfie for Women at CNR is a social media campaign launched by the National Research Council (CNR) in celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The initiative, which was first initiated by the Cnr-Scitec Institute last year, has now been taken up by the entire network of CNR institutes, including Cnr Nano. As part of the campaign, CNR female researchers are taking a selfie in their labs or at their desks, accompanied by a caption describing their work. Selfies and captions are being shared on Twitter. The goal of this campaign is to raise awareness on the issue of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in education, training and science and technology careers. Cnr Nano is strongly committed to recognising the critical role that women and girls play in science and technology, and to promoting full and equal access to and participation in these fields.

On 11 February, Cnr-Scitec ideally passed the baton to Cnr Nano and other institutes. The handover moment was marked by the selfie of Maria Chiara Carrozza, president of the Cnr. This year the Cnr celebrates the centenary of life, and this campaign is inserted among the events that celebrate the anniversary. Starting today, every week or fortnight, for a full year, Cnr Nano will highlight one of its #womenatNano, to highlight that every day should be #womenscienceday.

As the researchers are presented on Twitter, the dedicated page WOMEN IN SCIENCE  showcases the scientists who joined the campaign, highlighting their wide and deep expertise,  contributions to science and technology. Cnr Nano is proud to honour its #womenatnano who are passionate, curious, and dedicated to scientific research. Their hard work and contributions to the field are truly inspiring. Follow us on Twitter and Meet our talented #womenatNano! https://twitter.com/Cnr_Nano

We want to wish everyone around us especially woman and girl in the field of science Happy International Day!
