Many-Body Perturbation Theory and Excited-State Simulations

The Yambo School – Modena 2025 edition - offers researchers training in many-body perturbation theory (MBPT) for excited-state simulations, essential for optoelectronics, quantum computing, and energy applications. The program includes lectures on GW, Bethe-Salpeter equation, and non-linear optics, along with hands-on sessions using the YAMBO code in high-performance computing environments.

YAMBO is a flagship code of the MaX Centre of Excellence, ICSC PNRR Italian National Centre for HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing and the Hanami project.

The Yambo School – Modena 2025 is open to researchers with a background in DFT and experience in DFT simulations. Selection will be based on motivation, background, and diversity considerations. The program includes a Poster Session and a User-driven Discussion, fostering interaction with experts. There is no registration fee, and applications from female scientists are highly encouraged.
