A variety of sensors will be presented, realized using printing techniques which offer the advantage of low costs and environmental friendliness with respect to conventional fabrication routes. The active part of the sensors is based on nanomaterials, e.g. carbon nanotubes, which are dispersed in a solvent to form an ink which in turn can be easily printed. Recent strides in materials science have provided substrates which guarantee flexibility, stretchability, biocompatibility, and biodegradability. The resulting sensors can find applications in environmental monitoring, in agriculture, in IoT systems and in healthcare applications.
