Two-dimensional hybrid halide perovskites have become a focal point in optoelectronics due to their intrinsic structural versatility and excitonic effects. The incorporation of long-chain organic cations between inorganic layers not only provides effective barriers against moisture and ionic migration, but also enables fine control over structure and optoelectronic response. Beyond the widely investigated Pb-based systems, lead-free 2D Sn-perovskites represent a sustainable alternative with attractive optical and electronic characteristics, though their limited air stability represents a persistent technological limitation. Here, it is presented an ab-initio study of the quasiparticle and excitonic properties of selected tin perovskites using many-body perturbation theory, with the aim of clarifying the role of quantum confinement in shaping their excitonic behavior. This analysis fits within a broader effort to relate excitonic features to spacer chemistry, interlayer packing, and crystal architecture, supporting the theoretical design of stable, high-performance lead-free perovskites.
