In memory of Filippo Fabbri
On January 10th, our friend and colleague Filippo Fabbri passed away. A valued member of Cnr Nano, Filippo will be deeply missed for his scientific contributions and his warm, collaborative spirit.
It is with great sadness that the Istituto Nanoscienze announces the passing of Filippo Fabbri, a valued colleague and researcher. The Institute expresses its sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. The entire Cnr Nano community shares in this moment of mourning.

Filippo Fabbri was a research scientist at the Istituto Nanoscienze (Cnr Nano) in Pisa since 2018. He obtained his PhD in Physics from the University of Bologna and carried out research activities at Cnr IMEM and at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), as well as visiting periods at NIMS (Japan) and MIT (USA). His research focused on optical spectroscopies and electron microscopy, with a particular focus on 2D materials. He was actively involved in national and international research projects and authored more than 130 publications in international journals.

Filippo was a generous, open and collaborative colleague, whose presence and friendship we will fondly remember and deeply miss.
